14. MontBlancAI in Microsoft Teams

Add MontBlancAI as a Microsoft Teams tab, sign in automatically with your Microsoft 365 account, and route alerts straight into a Teams channel.

Overview

MontBlancAI is available directly inside Microsoft Teams — as a personal app tab for day-to-day use, and as a way to route alerts (threshold violations, anomalies, etc.) straight into a Teams channel.

Adding the app (for your Teams/IT admin)

  1. We'll send you the app package (a .zip file).

  2. In Teams: Apps → Manage your apps → Upload an app → Upload a custom app, and select the file we sent you. (Org-wide rollout: Teams Admin Center → Manage apps → Upload new app.)

  3. The first time anyone in your organization signs in through the Teams tab, Azure AD may show a "needs admin approval" prompt — your own Microsoft 365/Entra admin will need to approve it once. After that, every user in your org can sign in without seeing that prompt again.

Signing in

No separate login — the Teams tab signs you in automatically using your Microsoft 365 account, the same one you're already signed into Teams with.

Getting alerts in a Teams channel

  1. In MontBlancAI: Settings → Account Management → Notifications → Microsoft Teams Destinations → Add Microsoft Teams channel.

  2. In the target Teams channel: ⋯ → Workflows → "Send webhook alerts to a channel" — this creates a webhook URL.

  3. Paste that URL into the destination you created in step 1, and save.

  4. Attach that destination to any notification rule under Notifications → Subscriptions — alerts matching that rule will now also post to the channel, alongside whichever people/teams are already set to receive it.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing posts to the channel — check the destination is Enabled, and use its Send test button to confirm the webhook itself still works (Power Automate webhook URLs can expire or get revoked).
